Southern Appalachian Flatfoot Clogging is a step dance style developed in the mountains in the Southeastern United States. A unique mixture of English, Irish African and Native American percussive dance, Flatfoot Clogging is practiced individually and on teams wherever Old-Time or Bluegrass music is heard. |

Evie Ladin grew up with traditional American music and dance, clogging and playing clawhammer banjo at music festivals all over the East Coast. For ten years she toured nationally with the music and dance ensemble Rhythm In Shoes, performing and teaching tap dance, clogging, step dancing, and body percussion. In the San Francisco Bay Area, Evie is the Artistic Director of MoToR, a new rhythm dance ensemble, and appears as a versatile dancer, musician and vocalist with Keith Terry, Crosspulse, The Stairwell Sisters, How You Duo Trio, and Professor Terry's Circus Band Extraordináire. She is also the co-founder of Tongue & Groove, music & dance, which she created with her sister Abby. Evie teaches workshops in percussive dance and banjo nationally, and choreographs for choirs and theater.
